How to Reset Amana Water Filter Light

Amana Models:

  1. TYPE 1
    After changing the filter, Press and hold the (AUTO) button and (DISPENSER LOCK) button until the water filter status indicator light flashes.
  2. TYPE 2
    After changing the filter, touch (MAX COOL) and (MAX ICE) together for 3 seconds to reset the water filter.
    The display will do a 3-second countdown, then flash the icon and play a tone.
  3. TYPE 3
    After changing the filter, reset the filter status light by pressing and holding the (FILTER RESET) button.
    The status light will turn off when the system is reset.
  4. TYPE 4
    After changing the water filter, reset the status. Press and hold the (WATER FILTER) button for 3 seconds.
    When the system is reset, the water filter icon will return to its BLUE color and the words “Replace Filter” will disappear from the display.
